Francescatti v. Germanotta et al.

Filed on August 3, 2011 is a lawsuit, submitted in the Illinois Northern District Court, which alleges that Lady Gaga would have violated copyright law with her song Judas. The accusation comes from Rebecca Francescatti and charges that her 1999 song Juda was used without permission, allegedly through her former bass player and recording engineer, Brian Gaynor, who also collaborated with DJ White Shadow on the Born This Way album.
