As part of the Franz Liszt 200th Anniversary events at the Library of Congress, a panel discussion is held on the theme, "On the Nature of Celebrity: Franz Liszt, Niccolò Paganini, Lady Gaga," with Robert Aubrey Davis, Denise Gallo, Peter Sheppard Skaerved, and Mathieu Deflem. A pre-concert event to a performance of Liszt's "Années de Pèlerinage" by pianist Louis Lortie, the panel is free to the public and is held in the Whittall Pavillion of the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 6:15 pm.
